When did Nelson Mandela die?
There seems to be some controversy surrounding the date of Nelson Mandela’s actual death. When it was announced he passed away in December of 2013 some people were very confused because they through he had already passed.
Some people say they remember Nelson Mandela dying while he was still in prison back in the ’80s and that they remember seeing his funeral on TV. Many people report learning about his death in prison in the 80’s during, “Black History Month” and then later being confused when years later they heard again that he had just died. Read some comments from the bottom of this article.
In our current history our records say Mandela’s actual death was on Dec. 5, 2013.
This confusion is what led to something we now now know as the, “Mandela Effect.” The Mandela Effect is what some believe to be a “skip in time” that led us to join into a parallel universe where much is exactly the same, but some things have changed slightly.
The facts as we know them (according to Wiki) right now are as follows.
“On 5 December 2013, Nelson Mandela, the first President of South Africa to be elected in a fully representative democratic election, as well as the country’s first black head of state, died at the age of 95 after suffering from a prolonged respiratory infection. He died at around 20:50 local time (UTC+2) at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, South Africa, surrounded by his family.”
